In Honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence: On June 27, 2026, a special day of thanksgiving and worship is planned at Washington Memorial Chapel: The Nation’s Chapel at Valley Forge located on private property within the Valley Forge National Historical Park—one of America’s most hallowed places. From 1-3 July, we will be participating in the Revolutionary City at Marion Square: The Revolutionary City There will be tents set up for various groups to showcase 18th Century crafts, skills, etc. One tent will be used to promote the C.A.R., DAR, and SAR. Compatriots will find this a fitting activity to mark our 250th Anniversary.
Dedication will occur with patriotic ritual and period musket fire

Meeting begins at Noon at the Palmetto Club. The speaker is Norm Rickman will speak on Fort Moultrie, The Battle of Sullivan's Island and four new members are planned to be inducted. June 27 is the 250th anniversary of the battle which led to our annual Carolina Days celebration.
